Christmas Pageant

Last Wednesday, Tyler's class had their Christmas Pageant, so Flossie and I slipped out of the office for a bit to catch the festivities. First up, the kids meandered on out and took up their positions:

On the docket was a compilation of eight or so songs, lasting about 60-90 seconds a pop. I tried to limit my obnoxious parent actions, but did capture a few of the songs with the phone...

After the presentation, the kids headed back to their room, and we gathered around as there arose such a clatter. The kids sat all together, and wondered what was the matter. When, what to all our wondering eyes should appear, but Santa Claus with a bag of candy canes for all. Each kid had a chance to come up to Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas, and judging by this small sample size, there will be a run on dolls and transformers.

  1. I for one appreciate the obnoxious parental actions – This is too wonderful. I love how when singing they out shout each other but are perfect in front of Santa. Heaven forbid he doesn’t come through if they aren’t polite.

  2. I remember being Tyler’s age and singing “We wish you a Merry Christmas”. I think one of the parents had a super 8 movie camera and another had a 110 film camera with a flash bulb attachment. ;)

  3. My favorite was the wiggling down the chimney. All the kids were sooooo cute wiggling down the chimney. :-)
