Batter Up

Our weekend plans for heading to Roaring Springs were dashed when the kids threw a couple of tantrums as we were getting ready Saturday morning. So, we kicked them out into the backyard, and, they managed to play in the water anyway. In addition to getting the pool out, Tyler and Nora enjoyed running (around) the sprinker, and soaking their slide and dancing in the water pooled up on it.

After a bit of water fun, Tyler grabbed the batting tee, and took a few cuts. While he used to dig in from the right side of the plate, of late, he has decided to switch to the left side, and his swing is quite natural from that side (he always held his hands when he batted righty as a lefty anyway).

After a few monster rips, I grabbed the camera, and moved in closer. He wapped a few that bounced off me, and erupted into a fit, accusing me of making the "Cardinals lose the game." So, I just keep the camera pointed on him and clicked a few more pictures.

Nora had her bathing suit on for a bit, but like her brother, clothes in the summer are a nuisance, and capturing any photos of them is rather difficult. She did come over for a drink and snack from time to time, but otherwise, the two of them (as well as Kaylee) played in the water for the better part of three hours.
